Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This policy explains how The Sterling Desk handles information collected through thesterlingdesk.com, resource requests, inquiries, and related booking and payment services. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to rose@thesterlingdesk.com.

Information you provide

When you request our free guides, we collect your first name and email address, along with whether you choose to receive optional tips and updates. If you contact us by email or chat, we receive the contact details and messages you share. Booking a call may involve your name, email address, scheduling details, and answers you provide about your needs.

How we use information

We use this information to manage guide requests, respond to inquiries, schedule meetings, discuss or provide requested services, maintain business records, and operate and improve the website. Requesting the guides does not by itself subscribe you to marketing updates. We send optional tips and updates when you select that option; you may unsubscribe or email us to withdraw that choice.

Website technology and service providers

The website uses WordPress.com and Jetpack for hosting, forms, and site statistics, and tawk.to for chat. These services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited, visit times, cookies, and similar identifiers to operate their services, provide statistics, maintain chat sessions, and support security.

Our booking links open Cal.com. Online purchase links open Wave. These providers process information submitted on their services under their own policies. Payment details are entered on the payment provider’s checkout, rather than in our website forms. Email communications are also processed by our email service provider.

See the providers’ policies for further details: Automattic / WordPress.com, tawk.to, Cal.com, and Wave. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on the provider.

Sharing and access

Information is used by The Sterling Desk and the service providers involved in handling your request, operating the website, scheduling, communications, or payment. Where team members help with requested work, the access and confidentiality arrangements are discussed as part of the service. Information may also need to be disclosed to meet a legal obligation or address misuse or security issues.

Retention and your choices

We retain information as needed to manage requests and business relationships, maintain relevant records, and meet applicable obligations. Retention by third-party services is also subject to their policies. You can ask us to review, correct, or delete information you have provided by emailing rose@thesterlingdesk.com. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, or other legitimate business purposes.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or similar technologies may affect features such as chat. You can also contact Rose by email instead of using the website chat or forms. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply; contact us to make a request.

Protecting information

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive client records through our resource form or website chat. If your work requires confidential information or account access, contact Rose to agree on an appropriate sharing method before sending it. No internet transmission or storage service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Other websites and policy updates

Links to external websites, including review sites, are governed by those sites’ policies. We may update this policy as our website or services change. The date above identifies the latest update.
